Leon founded The New Elizabethans embroidery group in
1998.
The New Elizabethans is a group of hand-embroiderers
and textile artists, committed to working in contemporary and innovative ways
using traditional needlework techniques.
Ongoing work involves co-ordinating
discussions, leading focus and study groups and group projects, organising
exhibitions, and promoting the work of the group through the press and other
media.
