This series of 12 designs draws on traditional patterns from the 16th to the 19th centuries, and is richly executed in black and gold using black thread and golden beads. They are ideal to stitch into a group of Christmas Tree ornaments, or collect the whole series and stitch them on an afghan.

The designs are all 58 x 58 stitches. They are charted for 18 count Aida fabric using stranded cotton and high lustre gold beads

Christmas Rose by Leon Conrad This is the fourth in this series of twelve designs. A delicate design which unfolds outwards from the rose at the centre of the cross, which becomes the main feature of the design. The 'rose' motif is repeated at the ends of the arms of the cross, making a total of five, symbolising the wounds of Christ. Rivers of Paradise by Leon Conrad This is the sixth in this series of twelve designs. Flowing lines depict the four rivers that according to legend flow from the four corners of paradise. This is something that was echoed in many early illuminated manscript and knot garden layouts, and is echoed again here in this design.
