"Stars of Glory" Two-in-One Blackwork Chart by Leon Conrad
This is a two-in-one design which draws on traditional blackwork filling patterns from the 16th century, interpreted in an innovative way, using a sumptuous, but subtle play of rich black with gold.
The first design has the filling patterns worked over two threads on evenweave linen fabric.
The second uses the same filling patterns, worked over one thread on evenweave linen fabric.
Both variations are included in this chart.
The design is ideal for Christmas Tree ornaments, to decorate a Christmas table runner, or to make a very decorative pin cushion.
The designs are both 104 stitches square. Worked on 28 count evenweave linen, these designs will come out at around 10 cm square (c. 4 inches square).
